THE CAROLINA CUP

The Carolina Cup was born in a marquee beer tent at
The Open at Troon. The anticipation was that a team of UK golfers would travel to Myrtle Beach in early November and play against a team of US golfers.

The first match took place in Myrtle beach in November 1996 and proved to be an immediate success - albeit the Trophy, generously provided by Condotels was convincingly won by the American team.

The match has taken place each year since then (with the exception of 2001- when the event was cancelled as a mark of respect).

This year, we are again to send a team to contest the trophy during the first week of November 2002 - and we hope to bring the trophy back with us as in 1999 (the only UK win!). Accommodation will be arranged at the luxurious Condotels Surfside apartments, and all the golf arrangements - tee times, carts etc will be taken care of.

Flights can be arranged from any region in the UK - as a guide we already have bookings from Manchester and London Gatwick to Myrtle Beach via Atlanta on Sunday November 3rd - returning Sunday November 10th.
